Acceptable Use Policy

1. About this Policy

1.1 This Acceptable Use Policy explains the standards we expect from everyone using the Gift Ripple Platform, whether as a Gift Ripple Collection creator or contributor.

1.2 By using our Platform you agree to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy, our Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy and any other policies referred to within them.

1.3 We may amend this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Please see the end of this Policy for details of the current version and when it was last updated.

2. Protecting children

2.1 Gift Ripple has been created to help family and friends contribute towards meaningful gifts for children. You must only create a Gift Ripple Collection if you are the child’s parent or legal guardian or have the authority of their parent or legal guardian to do so.

2.2 You must not upload or share any photograph, video or other content featuring a child unless you have the consent of the child’s parent or legal guardian.

2.3 You must not upload any content which exploits, embarrasses, humiliates or is otherwise likely to be harmful to a child, their family or Gift Ripple.

3. Keeping Gift Ripple genuine

3.1 Gift Ripple may only be used for genuine gift giving.

3.2 You must ensure that all information you provide in your Gift Ripple account and in any Gift Ripple Collection is true, accurate and not misleading.

3.3 You must not create a Gift Ripple account or Gift Ripple Collection:

for any unlawful purpose;
to deceive or mislead contributors;
for the purpose of committing fraud;
on behalf of another person without their authority;
for any commercial, political or charitable fundraising activity;
in any way which could damage the reputation of Gift Ripple; or
to misuse or interfere with Stripe’s payment services or identity verification process.

4. Content

4.1 Any messages, photographs, videos or other content you upload remain your responsibility.

4.2 You must not upload, post or share any content which:

is false or misleading;
is defamatory, abusive, threatening, discriminatory or offensive;
is obscene, indecent or immoral;
infringes another person’s intellectual property rights;
infringes another person’s privacy or data protection rights;
contains viruses, malware or any other harmful code;
promotes violence, hatred or illegal activity; or
is otherwise unlawful.

4.3 You must not upload any content belonging to another person without their permission.

4.4 You must not use Gift Ripple to advertise or promote any business, product or service without our prior written consent.

5. Using our Platform responsibly

5.1 You must not:

attempt to gain unauthorised access to any Gift Ripple account;
interfere with the security or operation of the Gift Ripple Platform;
impersonate another person;
create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes;
attempt to bypass or interfere with Stripe’s payment processes;
use Gift Ripple for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion or any other criminal activity;
introduce viruses, malware or other malicious software;
use automated software, bots or similar technology to access or interact with our Platform without our prior written consent;
attempt to bypass Stripe’s payment processes or identity verification requirements;
attempt to access or interfere with another user’s Stripe-connected account; or
use Gift Ripple in any way which breaches any applicable law or regulation.

5.2 You must not attempt to manipulate, interfere with or misuse any withdrawal process or payment functionality provided through the Gift Ripple Platform.

6. If you breach this Policy

6.1 If we reasonably believe that you have breached this Acceptable Use Policy, we may suspend or terminate your Gift Ripple account, remove any Gift Ripple Collection or Contribution or take any other action permitted under our Terms and Conditions.

6.2 Where appropriate we may also report suspected unlawful activity to Stripe, law enforcement agencies or any relevant regulatory authority.
